GRAVIT celebrates its 5th anniversary and 100th accompanied project!

On this occasion, the GRAVIT team asked the researchers that it accompanied in the maturation phase of their projects about their respective projects. The results of the study show promising relationships between research and industry.

Would GRAVIT change the way research regards its role in industrial innovation?

Aside from creating a pre-industrial technological demonstrator to respond to market demands, the project bearers discovered new topics to research to satisfy new market needs.

The impact of GRAVIT’s accompaniment on the researcher’s project process

Close to 60% of those project bearers questioned are planning to get involved in an industrial project at some point in their careers, either by participating in the creation of a start-up, or becoming a scientific consultant.

42% now take into account technological barriers to entry identified by industry much earlier in the development of their research.

The impact of the industrial market on the maturation of their innovation

The marketing studies, carried out within the framework of the GRAVIT process, underline the technological needs of businesses or users, targeted for each innovative project. The information collected led to ideas for new laboratory developments of over 50% of the project bearers interviewed.

The impact of researchers’ innovations on the market

85% of the technologies transfered, or about to be transfered, bring or will bring a new product or service to the market. The remaining 15% will optimise existing products or procedures.
